Roofers for Zimbali homes

Zimbali lies just south of Ballito. It's made up of gated coastal and lakeside estates with strict rules for contractor access and working hours.

In Zimbali, the right paperwork matters as much as the work itself, so verified ID and clear job details help fundis get through the gate.

Local know-how

• Estates often control roof colours and materials. Check before replacing sheets or tiles.
• KZN coastal summer storms and salt air are hard on roof sheeting, flashings and waterproofing, so annual checks before the rains save damage.
• Leaks in holiday homes can go unnoticed for weeks. A check before the rainy season protects ceilings and furniture.

Typical roofer jobs

• Roof leak repairs
• Waterproofing flat roofs, balconies and parapets
• Torch-on and liquid membranes
• Gutters, downpipes and flashings
• Broken or slipped roof tiles and sheeting
• Damp walls caused by water getting in

Registrations

Roof work is high-risk work at height. We ask roofing fundis for proof of public liability insurance, check ID and two references with photos, and flag manufacturer applicator certificates (such as for waterproofing products). New roofs and structural work need a builder registered with the NHBRC, and work at height must follow the Construction Regulations.
