Mobile Mechanic in Westbrook

Mobile Mechanics for Westbrook homes

Westbrook is the southern end of our area, a beach suburb with family homes and holiday houses near the Tongati river mouth.

Westbrook is the southern edge of our service area. We're recruiting fundis who cover the stretch from Westbrook to Zimbali.

Local know-how

• Near the sea, salt air speeds up rust on brake parts, battery terminals and underbodies, so coastal cars need checks more often.
• Cars left standing in holiday homes often have flat batteries or perished tyres. A quick check before you drive home saves a tow.
• Many estates restrict vehicle repairs in driveways. Check your estate rules and tell us when you request, so the mechanic can plan.

Typical mobile mechanic jobs

• Minor and major services at your home
• Batteries, alternators and starters
• Brake pads, discs and fluids
• Diagnostics and warning lights (OBD scan)
• Non-starts and roadside-style call-outs
• Pre-trip and pre-purchase checks

Registrations

Mobile mechanics aren't legally registered like electricians, but we flag membership of the RMI (Retail Motor Industry Organisation) or its MIWA mechanics' association, trade-test (Red Seal) certificates and MIBCO-registered employers on the fundi's profile, and we check ID and two references. Work happens at your home, so we ask fundis for proof of public liability cover where they have it.
